Lots of Water
During the reign of Belshazzar, a king of Babylon, God stirred up the anointed Cyrus, (king of Persia) to overthrow Belshazzar's kingdom. In order to conquer this seemingly invincible kingdom, it required more than just pure strength. It required much wisdom. Cyrus knew that the best way to conquer the city would be to dry up Babylon's water supply. In so doing he was able to overthrow the city, and in one night turn the tide of power of the greatest kingdom of the world.
This story is a parallel of the immune system. If we liken the kingdom of Babylon to a mighty immune system that dries up due to a lack of water; it is easily overthrown, the white blood cells (or soldiers) are unable to fight for their kingdom, and defeat is certain.
If the body has not received a sufficient water supply, then it thickens the blood, producing sluggish circulation and an increase in toxic build up, which leads to an overburdened immune system. All cells, including white blood cells, are dependent upon water to survive and as a medium of transport as well as oxygen supply which assists them in phagocytosis (known as 'cell eating.')
Internal Use:
The body needs water for optimal function. Drink daily pure soft water; distilled water is the best. To determine your recommended daily water intake, use the following formula:
1. Your weight ÷ 2 = x2. Then x ÷ 8 = the number of 8oz glasses of water you should drink daily.
Drink more water if you sweat a lot. This will help your endurance. Carry a supply with you for the day. Drink before breakfast. When you wake up in the morning, drink two glasses at room temperature with a freshly squeezed lemon in it. Also drink between meals, (30 minutes before a meal and one to two hours after it), and early enough before bedtime so that you will not have to get up from sleep to empty your bladder. Do not drink water or liquids with your meals. Small sips often and throughout the day will help you reach your optimal water intake.
For External Use:
Shower daily with cool or tepid water using a bath brush or a good washcloth and rub your skin all over. This increases the circulation and helps remove toxins. Dry off with a coarse towel rubbing your skin again. Two showers a day for the first two weeks would be beneficial.
